APS6 Risk Advisor

Join a Federal Government agency that supports meaningful, participant-focused outcomes. As part of the Risk and Audit team, you’ll play a critical role in managing operational and strategic risks, supporting the agency’s mission to deliver impactful results for Australians. This is a 6-month opportunity, starting ASAP, with full-time hours, located in Robina and paying $60.26/hour plus super.

Duties:

• Facilitate risk discussions and reviews, applying the Risk Management Framework to identify and address risks.
• Analyse trends to mitigate risks, minimise exposure, and harness opportunities, including risk treatment plans and processes.
• Deliver risk management training to build knowledge and tools across the organisation.
• Collaborate with assurance teams to manage shared risks effectively.
• Support the Integrated Risk Management System (IRMS) and contribute to stakeholder reporting.

Key skills/experience required:

• Prior experience within risk management
• Strong experience in facilitating risk workshops and applying Risk Management Frameworks
• Previous experience in risk reporting
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience working within the public sector or disability sector would be highly regarded
• Must be an Australian citizen
